Abstract
The plastic products and plastic mold industry are of great importance of in national economy. The injection mold design of a Mobilephone’s cover was completed in the dissertation. This article has designed a plastic injection mold for the washing machine’s cover. The software tools of UG、Cimantron and AutoCAD are mainly used in the design process,and the advantages of computer-aided design programs was fully utilized to achieve the design scheme. Firstly, the author chose a single parting surface for the mould according to the analysis of the plastic part craft, and finished mold parts modeling with the UG Moldwizard. Then based on the design results, all the other components assemblies were modeled in the UG, such as the modeling of ejection parts, guide parts ,and other structure parts and so on. Finally. The assembly drawing and some of the important parts drawings were made in the AutoCAD. Finally, the CAM software of Cimantron to made the cavity, the core for NC programming and simulation of processing, through Cimantron software tool path to a trajectory. As a whole the mould is simple in structure and good at working reliability. The design of this injection mold is of some significance for the fact production.
